Ramon Herrera receives SAME Award - November 10, 2006 - Mr. Ramon A. Herrera, P.E., one of the
founding Principals of Midtown Engineers, will receive the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME)
Distinguished Member Award for 2007.  Ramon has been involved with SAME for over five years and currently
serves as the Community Program Committee Chair and the Young Members Director.  The Award will be
presented to Mr. Herrera, P.E. at the SAME installation meeting on January 17, 2007.  "Midtown Engineers
encourages our employees to participate in technical and professional organizations and Ramon Herrera has
demonstrated his professional excellence through his service to the SAME Houston Post.  We are very proud of
his accomplishments and we are excited about his future in the profession." said Mr. Terry L. McDaniel, P.E.
Hardy Toll Road - September 2007 - Midtown Engineers is pleased to announce that they will be
providing Utility Coordination services to the Hardy Toll Road Extension (HTRE) Design Team led by
Dannenbaum Engineering Corporation.  The HTRE will connect IH 10, US 59 and Downtown Houston to
the existing terminus of the Hardy Toll Road at IH 610.  
Joel R. Colwell, P.E., the Project Manager on the
project for Midtown Engineers says “The Hardy Toll Road Extension will be an important component of the
transportation system for the entire region.  Midtown Engineers is excited about being an integral part of
the Design Team on such a great project.”  The
Harris County Toll Road Authority has developed a
remarkable transportation system for the region and the HTRE will be the next addition of the system.  
With an ambitious opening date of late 2011, the HTRE will require cooperation and dedication from all
parties involved.  Midtown Engineers, LLC is committed to assisting the Design Team,
Engineering Corp. and the Harris County Toll Road Authority in all aspects for a successful project
Midtown Engineers continues to expand its work on traffic studies and signalization design.  The following are a few

HCFCD Maintenance Repair Program, June 2009 – Harris County Flood Control District (HCFCD) has selected
Midtown Engineers to provide on-call design engineering services in support of their maintenance repair program.  
The maintenance repair program is key to maintaining and optimizing the District’s vast network of channels, detention
ponds and various other infrastructure.  Midtown Engineers Principal

Port of Houston Fiber Optic Design, March 2012 – The Port of Houston Authority has selected a
design team to provide fiber optic installation throughout the Port.  
Midtown Engineers is pleased to be
part of this team.  In support of the prime provider, Midtown Engineers will be providing fiber optic
infrastructure throughout the CARE Terminal.  “The Port of Houston is a major economic component
of the Houston region.  Midtown Engineers is excited about assisting the Port of Houston in any aspect
to better service their clients” says Midtown Engineers Principal

COH 2012 CIP, April 2012 - Midtown Engineers has been selected by the City of Houston to provide
engineering services as part of the 2012 Capital Improvement Projects selections.   Midtown
Engineers was selected to provide Citywide Intersection Safety Improvements for the Engineering and
Construction Division.  The projects will consist of design modifications to existing intersections to
improve geometric deficiencies and enhance vehicular and pedestrian capacity.  Additionally, Midtown
Engineers will design new traffic signals at each intersection.  Midtown Engineers Principal

McDaniel, P.E. stated that “Midtown Engineers is proud to have been selected by the City of Houston
for the 2012 CIP.”  Midtown Engineers expects to begin the design in mid-2012 and have all drawings
completed by the end of the year.
